Fall sunsets are beautiful all over Cape May County! Here, onlookers take in the last of the sunset at Sunset Beach, overlooking Delaware Bay. The remains of the concrete ship Atlantis can be seen just off the beach. In the background a commercial ship makes its way out of Delaware Bay, headed toward the Atlantic Ocean.
DID YOU SEE NUMEROUS AIRCRAFT in the skies above the island last weekend? A variety of airplanes participating in Wildwood’s Thunder Over the Waves Airshow circled above Avalon & Stone Harbor as they flew their airshow routes. From vintage military fighters and cargo planes to modern jets and helicopters, even casual observers couldn’t help but notice the “show” over Seven Mile Island.
MORTGAGE ORIGINATIONS were up 22% during the second quarter of 2025 thanks to lower interest rates and more listings for buyers to choose from. Mortgage rates have continued to trend downward, with the average 30-year fixed rate at 6.5%, and the average 15-year fixed rate at 5.6%, according to Freddie Mac. Need to refinance, or get pre-qualified for a purchase? Let me know and I’ll put you in touch with reliable mortgage lenders.
RENTAL PROPERTY OWNERS: I need your rental rates for 2026! If you haven’t yet submitted them, it’s time. We’re already booking properties for the summer of 2026!
