Beach Tags 2019
Beach tags are required for everyone 12 and older who uses the beach between 10 AM and 5 PM from Friday of Memorial Weekend to Monday of Labor Day Weekend. Beach tags are reciprocal between Avalon and Stone Harbor.
The Borough of Avalon allows for the sale of seasonal beach tags at preseason prices. The beach tags are available either by stopping by the Avalon Tax Collector’s Office at Avalon Borough Hall, or through the mail. Mail orders (with a self-addressed stamped envelope) and in-person purchases will begin on March 1, 2018. Cash or Checks will be accepted until May 11th,2018.
Beach tags can be purchased at the Beach Tag Booth at Community Hall on 30th Street & Avalon Avenue, the Avalon Chamber of Commerce, or from any on-duty Avalon Beach Patrol Tag Inspector. Seasonal beach tags can also be purchased any time via a mobile app. Avalon has partnered with Viply to offer this service. Seasonal beach tags are $23 (purchased before June 1), $28 beginning on June 1; weekly beach tags are $12, and daily beach tags are $6. The Beach Tag Booth will be open weekends starting on April 6th, from 10 AM to 4 PM. The booth opens for the season starting on April 29th.
Beach Tag Fees are:
- Season Tag: $25.00 (Pre-Season)
- Season Tag: $30.00 (If purchased after May 31, 2020)
- Weekly Tag: $13.00 (Saturday through Saturday – May 25th through September 7th, 2020)
- Daily Tag: $ 6.00 (May 25th through September 7th, 2020)
Free Veterans Beach Tags/Active Military
Free Seasonal Beach Tags are available to all Veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Active Duty Military members and their immediate families can enjoy the beach without buying tags; just show military identification that indicates active duty. Please visit avalonboro.net for information.
