Beach Tags 2023
All persons 12 and over must display tags the Friday of Memorial Day weekend to Monday of Labor Day weekend, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Beach Tag Fees are:
- Season Tag: $32.00 (Pre-Season — if purchased before Memorial Day Weekend)
- Season Tag: $40.00 (If purchased after May 31st, 2023)
- Weekly Tag: $17.00 (May 31st through September 4th, 2023) (Weekly tags are valid Saturday through Saturday)
- Daily Tag: $ 8.00 (May 31st through September 4th, 2023)

Seasonal, weekly and daily tags may be purchased from inspectors on the beach or from the Beach Tag Office during the summer season. To purchase tags by mail, send check with name and address, phone number and the number of tags desired. Tags will be held under your name at the Beach Tag Office located in the Beach Patrol Building. See address and phone number above. Seasonal beach tags can also be purchased any time via a mobile app. Stone Harbor has partnered with Viply to offer this service. A convenient fee of $2.03 per tag is charged from the provider. Seasonal beach tags are available to purchase through the App Store and Google Play by searching Viply.
Veterans Free Beach Tags:
Free Seasonal Beach Tags are available to all veterans, active Duty military members and immediate families of the United States Armed Forces.
Veterans will be issued a specialized Veterans tag, not the yearly generic beach tag, beginning in the Spring.
Documentation required issuing free Veterans Beach Tag: All veterans must appear in person and provide a copy of the DD214 Form which indicated that they have been honorably discharged from the United States Armed Forces or any of the following: Cape May County Veterans Card (issued by the County), American Legion card, VFW card, Vietnam Veterans of America card, Disabled Veterans of America card, Marine Corps League card. (Notes: Policy is subject to change once official rules and regulations are promulgated by the State of New Jersey. There is no change in policy for issuing free beach tags to Active Duty Military and families. These tags will only be issued at Beach Tag Office during normal business hours after Memorial Day Weekend.
