THE THREE-DAY WEEKEND coming up brings some great events with it! Avalon’s Seafood Festival (Saturday at Surfside Park, 10am to 5pm) features live music, crafts & vendors, and, of course, fresh local seafood. Stone Harbor’s Classic Car show (Saturday on 96th Street, 10am to 1pm) will bring a variety of vehicles to 96th Street, followed by a parade at 1:30pm. The “Breezing Into Fall” Fashion Show and Luncheon takes place Sunday, 12pm to 3pm, at the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor.
PLAN AHEAD for Fall Beach Sweeps in Avalon and Stone Harbor on Saturday, October 21st. The beach sweeps are organized by Clean Ocean Action, who report that during their 2022 Beach Sweeps volunteers removed more than 376,000 items from New Jersey beaches. Keeping our beaches clean benefits not only beachgoers but also marine life, by keeping plastic and trash out of our waterways. In the event of rain, the event will be postponed to Sunday, October 22nd.
