BEACH UPDATE: Avalon’s sand backpassing project paused over the Memorial Day Weekend, and mechanical problems slowed the contractor’s progress afterward. Sand will begin to be moved this week, and the project is expected to be completed by June 20th. Avalon Borough Council may add more sand to the initial project, while still keeping it on schedule.
DOLPHINS ARE AROUND! Numerous pods of dolphins have been sighted both off the beach and in Delaware Bay.
