HELLO, SEPTEMBER! As if on cue, September arrived and brought with her cooler, dryer breezes, blue skies, and golden sunlight. As sad as it is to say goodbye to August, it’s great to say “Hello, September!” If you’re lucky enough to still be on the island, not only are you enjoying cooler weather, but smaller crowds, too! What’s your favorite thing to do on the island in September?
“SECOND SUMMER”, “LOCAL SUMMER”, and “The best time of the year” are all common ways to describe the months of September and October at the shore. The ocean water is still warm; clear, sunny days are countered by cool, crisp nights; and most everything is still open.
